Product Information
Online Messenger
In today’s networked world of the internet, the browser and e-mail are the ubiquitous software tools used for information exchange. Typically, each delivery “channel” is operated as a separate application with independent maintenance and support functions. Through our work with client banks, OBS discovered that customers see value in information delivery flexibility and expect access to multiple channels for information delivery along with customizable output options. Additionally, bank support of multiple alternate channels requires a single platform to handle administration, support, audit and billing of users.
Online Banking Solutions (OBS) has developed the Online Messenger platform designed to provide integrated secure information exchange between the bank and its customers through any of eight (8) delivery channels: Web, Secure Email, Fax, TTY, Desktop Connection, Secure FTP and Cell Phone SMS messaging and M-Secure Mobile Banking.

Online Banking Solutions (OBS) has developed a product package designed to provide simple and secure file exchange between the bank and its customers through any of three (3) delivery channels: Web, Desktop Connection or Secure FTP.
With M-Secure File Transfer OBS banks can transmit and receive data automatically without scripts or manual intervention using the web, OBS Desktop Connection Client or Secure FTP.
Online Messenger will regularly check for files to be delivered to clients or sent to the bank from designated folders on the customer's PC.
Customers only have to place a file in the designated "send" folder and the file will be automatically transmitted to the bank. No complicated FTP processes, no modems, no scripts.
Data Delivery is secure, using a strong encryption algorithm - blowfish - with a 448-bit key. Each user has a unique User ID and Password that must be changed every 30 days.
OBS banks can optionally offer email and cell phone alerts to notify clients immediately when a file has been sent. Different users may have different alert settings and users can control their alert settings via the Internet administration functions.

Messenger Mobile Services for Business
In today’s economic environment, it is critical for financial executives and business owners to have full access to financial information at all times and through multiple channels, including mobile. Many banks recognize commercial mobile banking as a growing trend, but are still slow to roll out the service to business customers. For banks offering mobile banking to businesses, most have simply re-packaged consumer applications for business use, but consumer applications do not provide businesses with the added functionality and enhanced security capabilities required.
Online Banking Solutions (OBS) recently launched the industry’s first-ever commercial mobile banking offering, Messenger Mobile Services, a new mobile channel to support commercial banking transactions for banks’ business customers. In addition to TEXT/SMS notifications, users can view account balance, transaction information and special reports; initiate account-to-account transfers, pre-defined payments or payment batches; and receive service alerts, payment advices and urgent notifications.
The new Mobile Banking Channel complements other channels by allowing users to view account information, initiate payments, and receive notifications and alerts while away from their computer.
