Dan Myers, Chief Executive Officer

Dan Myers is chief executive officer and founder of Online Banking Solutions (OBS). As a successful entrepreneur and 30-year industry veteran, Myers helped define the cash management space and developed cash management software that is still being used by financial institutions nearly 30 years later. At OBS, Myers provides development and management experience relevant to financial software innovation and proven strategies for commercial banking.

Prior to founding OBS, he founded Magnet Communications, Inc. in 1996, the first company to use the Internet’s technology and networking capabilities to provide cash management services to the banking industry. Magnet became one of the most successful Internet-based cash management solutions providers as evidenced by its product depth, prestigious customer base and Myers’ nomination to the regional E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year in 2001. Having led the company to market success, he left Magnet in 2002 and started OBS, which has now developed the next generation of products and services for the banking industry.

Before founding Magnet, Myers established Interactive Technology Corporation (ITC) in 1980. The cash management software developed by ITC became the industry’s predominant system, serving the needs of more than 200 banks worldwide. Myers remained president of his original organization through mergers with DISC, a Baltimore, Md.-based provider of financial software for domestic and international financial institutions and corporations. During his tenure, the DISC Access product evolved from an interactive TTY product to a multi-channel, multi-client solution capable of operating on several hardware platforms.

Myers was also the development manager for National Data Corporation in the 1970s, where he was responsible for the industry’s first electronic systems linking banks with their business customers for data exchange, information reporting and transaction initiation services.
